David Lee Powell

I don’t know if any of you guys were aware of this case at the time, but this guy was ( I think) innocent and his crime really didnt warrant the death penalty. But I guess a police officer ( who he never actually shot’s) life means more than a civilian life.

David won a humanitarian award in prison and helped many young criminals turn their lives around. He was also proven to be on medication that has since been banned for promoting violent tendencies- which his doctor prescribed - in the months leading up to the crime.

I was really depressed for a while after this. While the mayor said it was a time to celebrate, and police officers held parties, I lost faith in humanity.

If the same happens to James….
